The internationally recognised Canadian-German opera, concert and lieder singer is regarded as the leading present-day Mozart tenor. In 1992, he was awarded the Virginia P. Moore Prize by the Canadian government, which enabled him to further enhance his skills and travel to auditions. His successful recital at the Vienna State Opera subsequently earned him an engagement in “Il Barbiere di Siviglia“ and made him a permanent member of the ensemble. Ever since, Michael Schade has been delivering widely acclaimed performances on the stages of all of the world’s opera metropolises. Furthermore, many of his CDs releases have also won awards.
